Concept, Branding and Design of the swiss magazine «DIE FREIEN»


For the magazine «DIE FREIEN», which was founded 2022 in Altdorf, Uri in Switzerland, polyactive developed the complete visual appearance on all platforms - offline and online.

First a clean and modern logo was designed that stands for the free spirit of the brand «DIE FREIEN». Because the magazine is new, the claim «The new magazine» was added. This claim will be exchanged with time for a new one that then emphasizes more the brands values.

After the conception of the logo followed the basic concept for the website. A startpage as well as various subpages and a shop were developed graphically and then implemented.
The heart of the whole project of course is the design of the magazine itself. Therefore polyactive developed a beautiful and functional layout. In the context of the every two-month layout creative and visually appealing cover designs were created for each issue, that showcase the topic of the current issue in a creative way. An accent color was also selected for each issue, which underlines the theme in terms of color psychology. As part of these designs there was created a styleguide which can be consulted for the implementation of all CI specifications.

Polyactive also developed all corporate designs for the magazine: Business cards, business stationery, postcards, flyers, posters, stickers and appearances on social media platforms. In this context there were also created small animations, which tease the new editions.
